The origins of the 95th Rifles Regiment was the 1800s AD before the Napoleonic Wars of that time, they were the first Regiment to sport Green Uniforms and thus became known as the Green Jackets. Back then they used the Baker Rifle and as time went on they were merged with other regiments the name 95th was all but relegated to the history books and their Regimental Colours and standards were cased the 95th Rifles were also the only known 19th Century British Regiment to use the White Cord rating. Around 2388 a then Commander had an idea, shortly after she transferred to SFMC and upon making Colonel she re-christened the 95th Rifle Regiment, while currently not as big as its forebearer the revitalized 95th is building to Regimental level, currently, they are known just as the 95th Rifles, all the marines on the USS Tomcat are 95th Rifles, but as they are Captain Somers project they will leave the ship when she does.
The USS Tomcat is an Akira Class ship, with a slight difference, while its armaments and defences remain standard to some extent its evacuation capacity has been lowered to account for the extra fighter squadrons and Marines. The ship is commanded by an EX-Marine former Colonel turned Fleet Officer Fleet Captain Jasmine Somers, her missions are different from other standard missions due to the load-out and set-up of her crew and equipment.
So come join the Tomcat Crew as they head out to the less explored regions of Federation Space in an attempt to stop the Hostile and Rogue Intelligence Agencies and other undesirables on the fringes of known space.

Greetings All
In every sim Commander's time, we see a large turnover of personnel, who join and leave for their own reasons and those who have to be removed for other reasons.
But for those who manage to stick it out for a long period, starting at a six-month tour of duty, which is essentially a probationary period then every 1 year, 5 years and 10 years ending with a Long Sevice medal for more than 10 years of service, the last award "Long Service Award" is awarded to the individual(s) on their 11th year.

The Marine deck was alive with controlled urgency.
Armor seals locked. Tactical tricorders came online. Phaser rifles were checked and secured. The CSAR team stood ready.
This was not a search. This was not a recovery of equipment. This was bringing one of their own home. The final authorization came through.

Alex was mingling with her class-mates, it had taken them sometime to get used to the fact that she had experience and that she was at the Academy to formilise her Command training, she had also gotten a reputation of helping out Cadets who were having trouble in the physical department, when they had found out her actual age, they were surprised.

He sat alone at the desk in the half-lit room, the terminal’s soft blue interface the only real light. The new quarters where functional quiet—too quiet. No shared laughter from the other room, no half-finished conversations hanging in the air. Just the low hum of the computer and the steady presence of the dog at his feet. Emja was working away while doing some updates to a transducer coupling in the lower airlock in freighter docking hub. Then out of the blue she heard a voice across the room.
It was Machado who she served with on the Tomcat. She glanced up and saw the Klingon from across the room and was sure she was seeing things.
