The origins of the 95th Rifles Regiment was the 1800s AD before the Napoleonic Wars of that time, they were the first Regiment to sport Green Uniforms and thus became known as the Green Jackets. Back then they used the Baker Rifle and as time went on they were merged with other regiments the name 95th was all but relegated to the history books and their Regimental Colours and standards were cased the 95th Rifles were also the only known 19th Century British Regiment to use the White Cord rating. Around 2388 a then Commander had an idea, shortly after she transferred to SFMC and upon making Colonel she re-christened the 95th Rifle Regiment, while currently not as big as its forebearer the revitalized 95th is building to Regimental level, currently, they are known just as the 95th Rifles, all the marines on the USS Tomcat are 95th Rifles, but as they are Captain Somers project they will leave the ship when she does.
The USS Tomcat is an Akira Class ship, with a slight difference, while its armaments and defences remain standard to some extent its evacuation capacity has been lowered to account for the extra fighter squadrons and Marines. The ship is commanded by an EX-Marine former Colonel turned Fleet Officer Fleet Captain Jasmine Somers, her missions are different from other standard missions due to the load-out and set-up of her crew and equipment.
So come join the Tomcat Crew as they head out to the less explored regions of Federation Space in an attempt to stop the Hostile and Rogue Intelligence Agencies and other undesirables on the fringes of known space.

Cassandra dismissed the pilots leaving them to go gather what they might need. Also to go overlook the stealth ship they would be responsible for and try to get acquainted with it. Next was setting up protection for the engineers and the team in general. She needed infiltration specialists and thankfully had three on hand. So, she sent for Faith Benson, Alexi Michelle and Thomas Zang. Now on her third cup of strong coffee she waited for their arrival at the MCO office on the Tomcat.

A smile was upon the lips of the ship's sapphire engineer as she went about her work. Her main table was covered with a grey tarpoline and what appeared to be parts of a space suit and exoskeleton.
Smiling, she screwed in a few of the bolts attaching a new motor to part of the exoskeleton.
Her antenna vibrated slightly as she heard a familiar vibration of a familiar set of feet. " It's open, Ross." She called out, tucking her multi-tool into the band around her hair.

Emja was working away while doing some updates to a transducer coupling in the lower airlock in freighter docking hub. Then out of the blue she heard a voice across the room.
It was Machado who she served with on the Tomcat. She glanced up and saw the Klingon from across the room and was sure she was seeing things. Vivian was on a leave of absence since she had not had a chance to do any sort of rest or relaxation since joining the crew of the Tomcat. She also had some seminars that she was conducting some panel discussed for and some colleagues that she was hoping to catch up with at a few of them.

Dodd was officially on a leave of absence from his duties as the Executive Officer of the Tomcat. He had permission to resume his personal project of creating a new type of environmental suit using nanite technology.
He was on Starbase 51 and so took the start of his leave by going to see Rocky in the Arboretum as he missed the overgrown planet with a conscience. Rocky sensed him almost immediately when Remy entered the room. A vine reached out and pick him up.
