Emja was working away while doing some updates to a transducer coupling in the lower airlock in freighter docking hub. Then out of the blue she heard a voice across the room.

It was Machado who she served with on the Tomcat. She glanced up and saw the Klingon from across the room and was sure she was seeing things. But she got back to work as the engineering staff on the starbase fluctuated in numbers and at the moment there were the fewest engineers on the station since she joined the crew.

So as she worked along and got the updates done and headed to the office to see what was next on the list, she noticed Machado in the corridor and thought she was just seeing things. He was always good to work with on the Tomcat but yet she enjoyed his collaborations when they did have to team up for a task.

She got back to her office and saw on a PADD that there was a message with an update for the new staff coming to work in engineering. She was stunned to see Ramon Machado on the roster. So now she felt shocked as she was not seeing things, but she really did see him and he must have been getting the tour from the stations administrative staff to get him familiar with the layout.

So she would be reaching out to him to get a drink in the next day or two so they could catch up.
