Lilli was on her way back across from the Tomcat to her quarters on the Starbase, she’d forgotten to drop off some PaDDs she’d borrowed from Lamia so had been back to the ship to return them to the Counselling offices.

Remington was on his way back to the ship as he had to pack up his office and relocate his quarters so Hawksley could set up his space as the new XO of the Tomcat. He stopped to help someone who was looking for the right corridor to the administrative offices so he had his back in the direction of the Tomcat. He had just finished giving directions to the individual and he felt a familiar presence come up behind him.

Lilli heard a familiar voice seeing Remington she offered a warm smile. “Hello Remington, enjoying your time off?”

"Well, hello." Remington felt a loss for words, he had grown fond of Lilli while Leland and her were together. "I hope you have changed your mind to continue on with us?" He sort of asked of her.

Lilli shook her head. “I’m transferring to Starbase crew, I’m not needed here anymore. Leland doesn’t want me so why bother being onboard?”

"You are needed, you should never feel that way." Dodd stated very firmly. "So you and Leland had a parting, if you enjoy being on the ship otherwise, you can remain on the crew. I am still you friend and still care about you. You do make a difference and I for one feel the crew as a whole benefits from your presence on the ship."

Knowing she was telepathic, he was trying to hold back his deep feelings of loneliness. He once had a tussle with Lilli and it was amazing. However, she did just divorce his best friend and he needed to give it a little time before he did anything.

"I will help you revoke the transfer if you would stay on the Tomcat." Remy was now certain she could sense his mental reserves kicking in to hold back his deep feelings that maybe she could satisfy the missing part of is life. "Would you reconsider?"

Lilli paused. She could indeed feel that Remington was holding something back but she wasn’t sure what. “I guess I could think about it.” She offered a warmer smile. “The ship has been my home for so long it’s hard leaving it.”

"I very much would enjoy having you remain on the crew and on the ship." Remy replied with a little color coming to his face from the flash of deep excitement. He often wondered what could have come of a relationship between them if Leland had not already claimed her hand in union. "Just know I am and always shall be your friend. And sometimes friendship has benefits." He added as he cheeks got even more flush. He was doing is best to control his lustful longings for her which were more than just the need for physical desires between them.

Lilli couldn’t help but smile her cheeks going a shade of pink as she blushed it was nice to know that someone still wanted her onboard. “It’s nice to know that I have someone who wants me onboard. I was just heading to my quarters to get sorted out, but I guess I won’t need to do that if I’m not staying here, hell I’ll have to repack!” She shook her head. “Would you like to keep me company while I try and sort myself out?”

"It would be the least I could do." Remy stated. "I was about to go tend to some unpacking myself. But I can certainly do that later." Remy then shifted his stance to a more relaxed one and his focus then shifted to Lilli.

“Wonderful” Lilli smiled. “I’ve only unpacked a few small boxes, it’s not like I had tons to shift anyway.” She started walking it wouldn’t take long to reach where her quarters were located in the habitat area.

Arriving a few minutes later Lilli motioned Remy to enter. “Well here it is, nothing special just the basic quarters. I wanted to make it as homely as I could.” She paused to look at him. “Can I get you anything?”

"You are more than a homely person." Remy stated. "You are an amazing woman and should know that you are important to others even if you don't realize it or even feel it." He then paused and responded to her offer. "Well, I don't need anything at the moment." While that was not really what he wanted to say, but felt he needed to behave himself for a little while.

“That’s not what I was feeling earlier” Lilli smiled as she gave Remington a knowing look. “You’ve shared my body and mind before Remy, it’s not so easy to keep your feelings from me anymore.” She picked up a small empty box, she hadn’t long emptied it now she was going to end up filling it up again.

"I know, however, I bet there is another box that may need filling whenever you want something to fill it with." Remy sort of blurted out as he got very flush. He knew she could sense what was in his mind. Telepaths could not always keep their thoughts concealed from other telepaths when emotions came into play. Remy's emotions were strong as were his hormones.

“Remy…” Lilli put down the box walking over to him she knew how close his friendship was with Leland and she didn’t want to ruin that for him, but she felt the same and she couldn’t deny it. “We shared a special night, one all of our own and I won’t deny I enjoyed it.” She gently brushed her fingers against his cheek.

"It was a night I have more than longed for since." Remy then gently slid his hands around Lilli's waist and pulled her to him. "You have been in my thoughts since and knowing I was denied to act upon them out of loyalty and respect. However, you are now free to act upon your own feelings and I am free to act upon mine." Remy then moved in for a kiss.

Lilli wasn’t going to refuse, back then her love for Leland kept her loyal but now Remington was right she was a free woman able to do as she pleased. When their lips met she kissed him with all the fire her heart was holding, her hands holding onto him tightly.

As Lilli's grip on Remy tightened, his manhood started to pulse as she was pressed up against him. Their lips pressed together as he then shifted his grip to lift her up by her waist. Remy then assisted her by pulling his shirt off exposing his toned chest to her and now sliding his hands up her sides to work her blouse up.

Remy was noticing a glow about Lilli he had noticed that distance night they shared once. It was a glow that told him she was happy and where she wanted to be. "I want you to know that I respect you and want you to be in control of what becomes of us." Remy's hands then slid up and under her blouse. His warm rough hands gliding over her silkly smooth flesh of her torso as he was working up her blouse to slide it over her head and expose her bosom for him to savor in every fashion that he could.

I could see this becoming addicting." oO That came out wrong. I hope she realizes that I am willing to commit to her if she is truly willing to accept me, her ex-husband's buddy. Oo

Remy then repositioned himself to allow Lilli to snuggle up to him and maybe after a short rest maybe there could be some more action.

Lilli grinned. “I’m already addicted to you Remy, we wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t.” She snuggled up enjoying the feeling of being in the embrace of a man who truly wanted her.

<< Wow, I know I am toxic but that was quick. >> Remy thought to Lilli as the warmth of her flesh now pressed against his as they just hold on to one another in the afterglow. << I know that after the next mission, I need to get away from Starfleet and do some soul searching. Remy was really feeling a strong vibe that he had not felt since his beloved Iria let him to care for her cousin. He knew the one night before Lilli married Leland was to be a one and done but that connection haunted him deeply and now it was a reality one again. << I am being honest, not sure I am ready to get married but I am ready to commit to a relationship. However, you have stirred in me some other emotions and I am going to work on those before the ship embarks on our next mission. I really am happy I ran into you in the docking ring. >>

And once he got that from her, he was somehow become aroused once more. He pulled her up to kiss her as his soldier was saluting once again. Then he shifted to move Lilli up on top of him and position her to allow access to the valley that was willing to accept him. << I don't want another heartbreak, but you got me like a rocket shootin' straight across the sky. He only hoped that they were not rushing anything as he wanted to make this relationship survive.

“I can feel your concern” Lilli cuddled up enjoying the feel of being wrapped up in Remington’s arms. “Are you worried we’re going too fast?”

"I do have some minor reservations, but I am enjoying this and have been feeling better about this since I stumbled into you on the station." Remy replied. "You have been in my thoughts for a long time and now you are in my arms and it feels like we have been here for a long time. I know I don't want to mess this up and I know you deserve a man who is there for you." Remy then tipped his head to kiss Lilli's forehead as she was snuggled into him.

“The only man I want is right here, and that’s not going to change.” Lilli added as she cuddled up enjoying being in his loving embrace.

oO Oh my goodness, what have I gotten myself into. I am loving this so much and yet my heart is still questing for that chance I have held back for so long. I must shake it off. I love what has just happened and want to keep Lilli as a part of my life now that she is free from Leland. I know he would be okay with it as he would only want her to be happy. Oo Remy thought to himself. << You have made me a happy man and I hope to continue to make you a happy woman for as long as life can continue between us. >> Remy thought to Lilli as he was holding her and feeling like drifting off to a slumber.

With Lilli snuggled in to him, he was content and relaxed and fully comfortable with her as she was aware of his past and never held that against him as he was loyal to his partners once he fully committed to one.

Lilli smiled before stifling a yawn. << I’m content to be right here for as long as you need me. >> with that she slowly dozed off happy in Remington’s embrace.

Soon the couple were asleep all snuggled together on the bed that soon would be empty as Lilli was moving back to the ship.

Remy and Lilli slept the whole night holding each other, until Remy's commbadge signaled him about an appointment.

Alerted and jumping up to tap the badge, he startled Lilli. "So very sorry, I was in such a state of bliss, I forgot I was not on the ship when we fell asleep." He stood up and moved his naked body over to tap his badge to stop the alert. "I hope you are alright?" Remy asked Lilli as he stood completely naked across the room from her.

The alarm had startled Lilli as well, but she didn’t mind. “Why wouldn’t I be?” Lilli smiled as she lay looking at Remy.

Remy then walked over to her, "Since I have set my alert for an hour ahead, I have time to share a shower with you if you are interested?"

“Are you kidding? I’d like nothing more!” She grinned as she threw back the covers ready to get up and join him.

"I could get used to this morning routine." Remy stated as he stepped in the shower just after Lilli. "Mornings would be more enjoyable."

Shutting the door, the sonic shower started and soon the duo were bathed in the resonating pulses that clear the sweat and grime the lovers had from their night of passion. Remy could not resist getting more time with Lilli. The nice thing about sonic showers is they were quick and you did not need to worry about a towel. So since they were sharing this shower time, they took only about five minutes. Stepping out both were clean and dry and ready to get dressed and ready to go about their days.

"Well, I will recycle what I wore yesterday and replicate new clothes for today. Then I can help you get your boxes to the ship before my appointment, will that work for you?" This just meant Lilli would get to admire the nakedness of Remy for a little bit longer as his new clothes were being replicated.

“That sounds good to me” Lilli smiled as she ran her hand over Remy’s chest kissing him on the cheek. “You stand there naked for much longer and you might just end up late for shift.” She grinned.

"I wish it was just a shift, I am heading to a meeting after I leave you. But it is on the holodeck to go over me getting to be Chief Engineer once again." Remy replied. "There will be a new captain on the Tomcat when shore leave is over. I will be back as Chief Engineer and down as the Second Officer. So not as much administrative duties but more getting my hands dirty which I truly miss. So having you back on ship will make my off duty hours more than video games and hiking. Mind you, I will suggest we keep ourselves within proper protocols which won't be hard since I am not your direct supervisor. I just hope you and I can coordinate aligning our next shore leave to get away from the ship and the starbase to go somewhere with lots of nature and as few people as possible and allow ourselves to truly bond in ways we have not thought about yet."

“I don’t see why that would be a problem” Lilli smiled. “My marine medic duties don’t normally interfere with shoreleave. I’d very much like to get away with you.” She smiled as she simply stood admiring him.

While the replicating of his clothes was just about done, Remy had programmed the emergency transporter system to beam all of Lilli's belongings in the room to a temporary location on the Tomcat. "Perks of being an engineer, I just set the emergency transporter to beam your gear over to the Tomcat. It will go to my engineering lab computer as a data file until you get your new quarters on the ship. This way we can walk together to the ship and maybe pick up a Raktajino together." As he made that offer, the replicator had finished replicating his Khaki cargo shorts, a blue polo, a matching golfing glove and tan golf shoes, a pair of Khaki colored socks and blue baseball styled cap. "The meeting will be over golf as we talk engineering details."

“I wish I had fun meetings like yours!” Lilli grinned. “A Raktajino would be lovely. Any chance to spend more time with you is fine by me. As for quarters I’ll get that sorted as soon as I can, I doubt there’ll be a problem.”

"I know there should not be an issue with getting quarters. I just want you to be able to pick a set of quarters that suit you and your role on the ship. As the chief engineer, I picked quarters in a section close to main engineering where most officers would not have their quarters. This allows me to be close to my main work and I can alter my quarters better for my activities when off-duty, which will change with what is growing between us if you stick with me."

"I will have some time after my meeting before I have a simple gathering I must attend on the starbase this evening with regards to some research I have been conducting on a new type of EV Suit. So maybe we could get your new quarters arranged and set up. I will give you permission to access my quarters anytime if you wish that." Dodd added as they were about to exit her room on the starbase.

“I’d very much like your help choosing quarters” Lilli smiled. “And having free access to your quarters would be wonderful as well. I’m not going anywhere so don’t worry about that, I’m happy with this relationship and I’m sticking with you.”

oO I know she can be a great partner for the long haul. I achieved a fantasy and then found Lilli. While it was great to have a fantasy come to life, I don't see it as a long term situations. Lilli is able to be a long term and has what I like in a partner. I won't let my desire for my fantasy to overwhelm the reality I have just brought into my life. This woman here with me is feeling so right for me. While the fantasy is not as appealing as it once was when it was a fantasy. How I feel about this woman who is here with me right now is how I want to feel for the rest of my time. Oo Remy thought to himself with his mental blocks in place.

"I will signal you when I am done on the holodeck and we can find suitable quarters for you on the ship this afternoon." Remy stated as he moved his hand to grasp Lilli's while they were walking to get their Raktajinoes.

Lilli smiled as she took hold of Remington’s hand. “That sounds wonderful, in the meantime I’ll have a look for a few things to decorate my new quarters. It’ll give me an excuse to go shopping.”

"Sounds like you will be busy while I am in my meeting." Remy stated. " They then arrived at the Klingon Coffee bar on the promenade. He ordered for both of them and put it on his tab.

"I hope you don't mind me ordering, I have a credit with the proprietor of this shop as I helped him get a all his equipment assembled and up to official Klingon standards for making as authentic as possible all of his beverages." Remy stated as he handed his escort her beverage. "So to speak of it, you can add what you want to any of my accounts as most of the vendors on the station have favors they owe me in some fashion as they all know I am good for it."

“That’s very kind of you Remington, I don’t expect you to pay for everything though.” Lilli smiled. “I’ll repay you for what I spend it’s only fair to do so.” She sipped her drink. “Mmm…thank you for the coffee.”

"I do favors for the proprietors when I am on the station and so they see my deeds as a way to give me credit. I really only do the tasks for them to keep me busy and most of the credit just builds. So take advantage of it as I could not ever figure out what to get for my good deeds. I am just a guy that likes to tinker with my favorite passion of engineering." Remy replied as he took a swig from his Raktajino. "Off of Quonos, this is the second best place to get a great Raktajino. Monty does a great job as nothing he uses in his ingredients is ever replicated."

“I’ll remember that” Lilli smiled before drinking more of hers. “To be honest this is the first time I’ve actually sat and enjoyed a Raktajino, I never really bothered that much with them before. I have to say it’s good!”

"Well, I typically drink hot chocolate or chocolate infused hot beverages, but Monty here got me to try a traditional Raktajino and I liked it. Every time I am on the station I have at least one depending upon my length of time on the station." Remy responded. "I am happy to be able to enjoy this with someone and not just by myself." Remy stated and then took a swig of his beverage. "If I was not ordered to attend this meeting to discuss the taking over of engineering, which would normally be no big deal since I am an engineer by trade, I would love to spend more time with you. However, since the ship was refit and the systems are more modern, I need to know what to expect from the ship. I also will be sharing with Leland the details that no one shared with me about being an Executive Officer. So while I would rather help you get resettled aboard, I need to get over to the ship to get this meeting underway as Leland and I tend to get sidetracked easily." Remy leaned over to place a small kiss on Lilli's lips since there was a small amount of foam on the corner of her mouth. "That was the sweetest kiss yet." He commented as he then stood up to depart for the ship's holodeck.

Lilli grinned. “I’m glad you liked it. Let me know when you’re finished, if I’m done first I’ll wait around here for you.”

"Nice to know, that sort of makes me feel good as I depart." Remy replied. "I do hope that my relationship with Leland will not be an issue between us. I do feel we have the start of a good thing. I know my past is not good in relationships but I feel this one could be the difference I need to change that."

“It won’t be an issue between us he’s your friend and I wouldn’t ask you to change that.” Lilli offered. “Just don’t ask me to spend any time with him for a little while, it’s been difficult enough.” She paused. “Incase you’re wondering I have no reservations about us at all.”

"I will do my best to keep you and him apart but I will not be telling him about us until after we start our next mission. He needs to focus on becoming the new XO under a new CO." Remy replied. "I just wanted you to know that I care for what we have started. As I attempt to reorganize my life, you will be a part of it no matter what happens. You know enough about me that my past is full of escapades and lost loves. But I am willing to work out my inner demons and shift my life to make you a large part of it."

Lilli nodded. “That means more to me than you could ever know. I just need a little time where Leland is concerned, so I won’t be making life difficult for you where he’s concerned. All I want now is to be able to move on with my life, and having you in it will make it all the happier.”

"Great, as I do feel that we are a good fit and have felt that way since we had our one encounter before you got married." Remy replied. "I feel you can make me happy in more than the physical sense. I will come clean and tell you that I had a long time fantasy involving a woman and I make it come true. However, it was a physical release but I don't know if I felt true love. I do feel something deep within what I feel for you." Remy added.

“Then you’re following your heart and that won’t ever lead you in the wrong direction.” Lilli added with a smile. “I’ll fulfill any fantasy your heart desires, you won’t need to worry about that. I just need to know that you’ll always be there for me, and I believe that you will.”

"Well I know this time my heart wants what it wants and I feel it has attached itself to you for your mind, spirit and body." Remy was then looking at her chest and pulled his eyes back up to hers. "I feel something with you I have not felt in years. That feeling started before your relationship with Leland was official and now that I had a taste of it again, I don't want to let it go. I want you in my life for more than the physical pleasure, you have a mind that is beautiful and challenging for me. I would rather have all the aches and pains of what there is between us along with all the bliss that we can share with one another, than to have a fantasy once in a few weeks or months when we dock at a starbase."

Lilli couldn’t help but blush as she smiled. “I’m honoured that I make you feel that way Remington, I felt that same special link between us when were first together, but I couldn’t and wouldn’t have betrayed Leland for it. I believed I had what I needed back then, but now I know it’s you that I need and I’m not letting go.”

"I will hold on as tight as I can to keep what we just unlocked." Remy leaned in to give her another kiss. If he did not have to get to his meeting with Hawksley to go over the updates in engineering in detail, he could wind up getting into some trouble with Lilli. << You are in my head running amuck and it is stirring up some feelings I have to get under control so I can be dignified in my golf meeting. >> Remy thought to Lilli as he kissed her there at the cafe for all the others coming and going to witness. He was happy and did not care what anyone thought. Lilli was a fine woman to have as a lover and partner in life and he was going to uphold how he felt about her even if she is his best friend's ex.
