Paul had finished the first training with the Cadets, who were to be sent to other ships, including the refitted USS Tomcat, as the doors slid back to reveal the quarters assigned to them now that his wife had been given time off from flight duties. Paul said, “Hi Honey, I’m home. “Serina walked out of the kitchen area and responded, 'Where the hell have you been?' glaring at him,' You were supposed to be at Medical today,” she stated, berating her Husband as she was caring for his child and today was her checkup.
He replied,” I was helping Paula train a new bunch of Cadets.” He unzipped his jacket and removed it, laying it on the sofa as he walked towards her. He continued, “She called in one of her favours,” as he neared her. “Don’t I count?” she retorted back at him as she looked back at him. Just then, the com channel buzzed,” Winchester here,” as he heard the voice of the Fleet Captain ordering them to attend a Gathering in the auditorium.
Paul looked at his wife and said, “Looks like i need a quick shower and my dress uniform,” he stated as he knew that his wife had been assigned to SB51. “You still going to come?” he asked, wanting her to rest some more. She replied, “Of course I am, and i have just put the girls down to sleep.” She looked back at Paul. “I suppose we can ask Davina to babysit for us?”
Paul walked back to his jacket and pressed his combadge and spoke =/\= Lieutenant Winchester to Ensign Winchester, please report to my Quarters, =/\= closing the channel and headed towards the bathroom.
=Davina’s Quarters
Now an Officer in her own right, Davina had just finished her shift and had stood at the window thinking about her birth mother and how proud she would be of her making the grade, and how her adoptive mother had raised her. However, she had a loving family, she still remembered that fateful day when the earthquake had struck her village in the colony, which had claimed her birth mother's life. Now here she was serving on Starbase 51 as an Operations Officer having done her trade in one of the bars on the station, suddenly her combadge chirped, she tapped the small gold insignia that was on her left breast, and she heard her uncle’s voice come over the channel asking her to go and see them. She replied =/\= On my way, Sir =/\= grabbing her jacket and heading out the door.

After arriving at her uncle’s quarters, Davina straightened her jacket, pressed the door chime, and waited to be asked to enter. She guessed what they wanted her for, but entering unannounced was wrong, so she waited for the command to enter.
"Enter Davina," Serina said, adjusting her dress whites. It is good to see you again. How have you been lately?"
"Ensign Winchester reporting as ordered, Ma'am," Davina replied professionally, coming to a halt in front of her Aunt, seeing her in her dress whites. She stood waiting for the order to relax, but this was how she had to act in front of a senior Officer.
"Davina, relax! This is a babysitting job, not marching on the parade grounds." Serina chuckled as Davina relaxed—poor girl, standing like a statue.
"So I need to babysit then, Auntie?" she asked Serina, looking at her. She continued, "Then why did Uncle Paul make it sound like an order?" still wondering if it was a test.
Paul entered the room, smartly dressed in his dress whites. He said," Hey, Davina, thanks for doing this. " He looked back at Serina and smiled at her. Upon hearing Davina's question, he said," You have to start getting used to it now that you are in Starfleet. " Turning to face Davina, he said, "You have to start getting used to it now that you are in Starfleet."
Davina looked back at her uncle, knowing that what he had just said was true. She looked back at him as he had become a father figure to her. It was her Uncle and her mom who made her join Starfleet, She replied, " Yes, Uncle."
Serina said, " Paul, we can not be late for this party," giving her husband a stern look, she continued," Now move." as she headed towards the door.
Paul replied," Yes, dear," being sarcastic as they left Davina to look after the kids and headed towards their night out.
