MCPO Alexi Michelle was working the heavy bag in the gym on the Starbase. She'd been getting antsy and really needed to work off some of the excess energy. Her hands wrapped and gloved made loud smacking noises as she went through her fighting drills, alternating punches with kicks. Alexi had worked up a sweat that ran down her chest, tickling the area of her cleavage. Now her shorts and tank top were plastered to her body like a second glove. She's learned to ignore it for the most part, at least while she was concentrating on the exercises. She heard the door swish open and realized she was no longer alone.

S'earr had needed a workout away from the marine deck on the ship, problem with being the Marine Commander was that something always called to duty when it was least desired. When he walked in he saw only one other occupant. Dressed in his work out attire of Caitian design that afforded freedom of movement and breathability he felt the slight shift in temperature from outside in the hallway.

The ventilation was running, which was a fortunate detail considering he could still detect the faint aroma of what must be the female in the room. S'earr afforded her the same all females were granted, a slight bow of cultural respect, then walked towards one of the largest treadmills off to the side of the room.

He was hard to miss! Alexi moved around the heavy bag just a bit so she could see who had joined her. It was a habit she had to never leave her back to anyone. She didn't recognize the well muscled Caitian, but he had a military bearing that was obvious in his movements. Alexi saw the bow of respect and nodded her head in reply. She couldn't help but pause and watch. His movements, while powerful, were graceful in the way all felines were. She chuckled inwardly when she imagined petting what looked like very soft fur. She gave her head a shake, and got back into her fighting stance to continue her workout.

S'earr placed his bag next to the largest of the treadmills that had a curved baseboard, these were mot motorised, depending on the users movement to provide the motion. S'earr set the display to how he wanted it and climbed upon it. At first there was some minor hesitation, his weight was considerable afterall and not everything made was to suit one of his substantial frame.

S'earr started with a walk to begin proceedings, slowly picking up the pace to a jog, if such a pace in humanoid standards could be viewed as such. His fur coat flowed with his movements, his tail swaying behind him to maintain his balance.

It was hard not to keep glancing over at the form on the treadmill. Her own workout seemed to have slowed down drastically whenever her eyes look at him. His stride was a lot longer than hers. While he appeared to be taking an easy jog, Alexi figured that she'd need to run full out just to attempt to keep up, and probably fail. For a few minutes she hugged the heavy bag and just watched. Whoever he was, he definitely looked good on the treadmill.

As his pace grew S'earr dropped from a standing position to one of hands and feet much like the feline he was. His tail rigid and swaying in opposition of each stride, the ripple of muscles with each lunge as his arms and legs flexed with each burst of speed. Even his attire didn't seem to hinder him in any way shape or form. The machine emitted a whirling sound as it kept pace with him.

If anything, it gave the clear impression that were S'earr stalking or giving chase...it would be a sight to behold.

Alexi gave up all pretense of working the heavy bag. She stepped to the side of the bag to get a clearer view of the Caitian. She'd never witnessed one of his species running, much less saw the raw power that was evident in every flex of his muscles. The man looked pretty damn deadly, and if Alexi had to guess, she would say he was barely utilizing all those very powerful muscles. She stifled a small chuckle at the thought of all that powerful muscled form stalking slowly to pounce on unsuspecting prey, whatever or whomever that may be.

S'earr continued to push, the speedometer continued to rise from 20, to 30, then 40kph. With a low growl of effort S'earr pushed on, the sound of heavy paws slapping against the machine under him as the readout topped at 68kph. Most knew Caitian's were not built for speed, but raw physical strength and lightning quick reflexes.

His movements were fluid, graceful and majestic even in a full tilt run and after almost a minute he gradually began to slow his pace.

She walked over to the bench press and sat down, pulling off the gloves and wraps as she continued to watch the Caitian. Alexi was mesmerized by how graceful he looked and how deadly at the same time. The sound of his paws slapping a steady rhythm that reverberated through her chest. And good lord, that growl was enough to vibrate her entire body. She could only imagine how the prey would react if they heard that behind them. She smiled to herself as she adjusted the weights for about 55 kilos and lay on her back. Finally taking her eyes off the Man on the treadmill she began working her upper body.

After a moment or two S'ear slowed enough to step off the treadmill and let it wind down to a stop on its own accord. His body warmed from the physical output and even knowing such a pace was at best a brief stint, but it was an effective one.

He noticed that his companion was working on weights, he looked around at the other machinery and items adorning the walls and saw a climbing wall. With a settled grin S'earr walked to the wall and looked upon it. It reminded him of his training on the Homeworld. A leap for him was a simple act, he could make tall leaps with ease, the problem was the handholds on these walls were meant for humanoid hands, not sharp Caitian claws, it wouldn't stop him though...

Alexi noticed the sound of the Caitain's paws were no longer thumping on the treadmill. She couldn't see him but figured he had moved off to something else. She kept pushing the weights up and down, feeling it in her shoulders. From the corner of her eye she caught a glimpse of her workout companion looking at the climbing wall. Alexi turned her head to see what he'd do next. Her tongue snaked out cross her lower lip as she took in his stance. She could see the muscles of his legs priming for a jump. And what a jump it was.

S'earr lowered himself into a jumping position, head up looking at his destination, the movement in his muscles, the way his fur shifted as each primed themselves for use again. Even with his considerable weight, Caitians had strong legs capable of explosive power when needed. The wall had measurement indicators all the way up to 40 feet up the wall. In one surge of force, a loud growl of effort, S'earr had leapt upwards covering 16 feel of it in a single bound.

Alexi almost let the weights drop when she saw how high he had jumped. It was pure poetry in motion. The lowering, the push off, muscles releasing their energy and propelling his athletic form almost halfway up the wall from what she could see. Her eyes were watching him, her arms slowly lowering the weights, as if she had forgotten they were even there. Her own muscles more pronounced as she fought the slow pull of gravity.

S'earr made the climb smoothly and almost seemingly effortless. His claws dug into the hand grips providing him with all the grip and leverage he needed, though they would need replacing afterwards as a result. When he reached the top it reminded him of his training on the Homeworld only his climb was a near sheer rockface in the training grounds. He looked down at the thick crash mat below meant to save those that fell.

S'earr looked to the mat once more and even falling he kept his grace as his fur waved in the air. There was one consequence however, having such a weight suddenly imposed upon the mat, at speed, caused one of its sides to blow out with a small bang sending small rubber pieces spraying out everywhere as the mat essentially disgorged its filling as it deflated.

Alexi was still watching as the Caitian allowed himself to fall, his body twisting in a graceful arch as his fur ruffled beautifully from the rush of air. Seconds later it was sheer pandemonium as the pad exploded, expelling its contents outward. Alexi didn't even have time to think as she gasped and accidentally inhaled some of the pellets, breaking her concentration and allowing the barbell to drop forcefully across her chest and knocking whatever wind she had right out of her.

S'earr looked up towards his companion sharing the room to apologise, then saw a more critical issue. The weights bar across her chest, he didn't need to be Human to know what that meant. He was quick to leap into speed as he dashed towards her leaving a swirl of rubber debris behind him in the air. He took hold of the weights bar and lifted it, unceremoniously tossing it aside to the protected floor.

For S'earr, he had assisted a female in a dangerous situation, something he felt honoured for as per his customs and ways. "Are you right ma'am?" S'earr asked looking down at her as she caught her breath laying on the bench.

She was coughing out little rubber pellets as soon as the weight disappeared from her chest. She rolled a little to spit out the pellets but groaned as her muscles rebelled from the movement. Alexi spit out the pellets and all but collapsed back onto the bench. She opened her eyes and looked up at the eye-candy that was now close enough to touch. She started to raise her hand but the realized what she was about to do and let it drop. Her other hand rubbed across her very sore upper chest. She tried to speak, but only a squeak came out. She cleared her throat as best she could and smiled weakly, "Thanks for the assist. Never saw a pad explode like that before."

Maybe she could just lie here, until she either recovered, or died from embarrassment. Whichever came first!

"Do you need medical attention, water?" S'earr asked, then looked around at the mess that he had created in his efforts. "I doubt the maintenance crew will be pleased with me once I report it." He returned his gaze to her. "I am S'earr, Marine Commander, U.S.S. Tomcat." He introduced as he waited for her to regain her composure.

"T... Tomcat?" She said almost too quietly, for normal ears at least. She cleared her throat again and forced herself into a sitting position straddling the bench, "I'm MCPO Alexi Michelle, I'm a security investigator, Assigned to the Tomcat but I've been TAD or TDY to Starbase 51 while I did some important work for the Captain." She still rubbed her upper chest, "I think I'll be fine. Thank you for moving as fast as you did."

"You are welcome." S'earr spoke. He kept an eye on her to make sure she was indeed alright as she sat there, hoping even still that he got to her in proper time. "I...apologise for the mess." Considering it was the mess he made from his heavy impact to the matt, covering her in its contents that caused the issue in the first place.

Alexi started to laugh, but winced at the pain in her chest. The damn barbell had fallen pretty hard and she was having just a little difficulty breathing in anything more than shallow breaths that were evidenced by the rapid rise and fall of her chest. Of course that could also be cause by the adrenaline rush. She would have to report to sickbay later if it didn't get better. She offered a small smile instead, "All you did was fall on the matt. We can blame the mess on faulty construction." She coughed a little and another little pellet was expelled.

S'earr noticed the wince, his hearing picked up the shift in breathing depth and sound. "Perhaps Sickbay would be prudent, just to be safe?" S'earr suggested, in his eyes, he was partially, if indirectly to blame for her current suffering.

Alexi would have sighed if she'd been able to take a deep breath, but he was right. Her chest hurt right at the sternum and she could feel the bruise from the barbell across her chest. She gave the Caitian a nod and tried to pull her left leg over the bench. The motion cause her to shift her upper torso which then rebelled against it. "I.. think... you are... right," she said between short breaths, "I hate ... to ask, but... I could use a hand."

With permission given to touch, S'earr gently helped her to her feet taking her hand in his much larger one, his hand supporting her back. He could see every movement was painful, every twist and breath causing discomfort. She needed medical attention, quickly. He gently picked her up and even at a brisk walk, it was quick by most standards. "I am sorry for the discomfort, but haste is required."

She didn't complain since it hurt a lot less than walking. "Right, haste, okay," came her whispered reply, "I am sorry to interrupt your workout with this. I lost my concentration." Alexi let her head rest on his chest and pressed her eyes closed and gritted her teeth again the pain that was pressing into her chest. She opened her eyes and glanced up at his serious expression, "But you really did look too good not to watch."
