Dr. Gavin Ross II—or simply Gavin, as he preferred—was born of incredible chance, a perfect duplicate of the USS Tomcat’s esteemed Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Gavin Ross. The transporter accident that created him was daunting, yet Gavin adapted effortlessly.
Gavin carved out his niche in the ship's medical bay. He was identical to his "brother," with the same sharp jawline, distinctive eyes, and hands skilled enough to mend a ruptured artery or expertly hold a hypo spray. The original Dr. Ross was cool-headed and methodical, while Gavin burned quietly, hinting at something wilder beneath his replicated DNA.
Holodeck
Now, aboard the holodeck of the USS Tomcat, Gavin stood on the deck of a private luxury yacht slicing through the shimmering waters of Earth’s Mediterranean Sea. The sun dipped low, painting the horizon in amber shades. A warm breeze carried the scents of saltwater. He had programmed this simulation, with every detail showcasing his growing infatuation with Dex. He longed for her as he stood nervously after sending her a message to join him for a late dinner on the holodeck.
“Dex,” he said, turning to her with a half-smile that reflected both nerves and desire. She stood by the railing, her sleek Starfleet uniform replaced with a flowing dress that hugged her curves in ways the holodeck’s algorithms had eagerly rendered. “I figured we deserved a night away from tricorders and plasma burns. What do you think?”
He stepped closer, the warmth of her presence igniting something primal beneath his composed exterior. “Maybe I am,” he murmured, his voice low, rough, and earnest. “Would that be so bad?”
Shon nodded wondering quite what to think of this romantic scenario. The day had been long and hard consisting of an explosion in engineering which killed one crew member and maimed his wife of four days. Shon spent a lot of her time just being there for her after treating her injuries. She smiled feeling the breeze on her bare shoulders, the long burn scars just peeking out from beneath her shoulders. “It’s very kind of you to invite me to dinner Gavin, just what I needed.” She looked around at the scenery and felt something else other than rested, the desire for him spiking inside her.
Gavin’s gaze softened as he watched her, captivated by how the wind played with her hair and how her eyes caught the light.
“Come here,” he said gently, extending a hand. “I want to show you something.” Ross guided Dex to the yacht's bow, where the holodeck had conjured a breathtaking sight: a cascade of bioluminescent waves glowing an ethereal blue, rippling out into the dark sea like liquid starlight.
“Thought it might take your breath away the way you do mine.” He turned to her, his admiration plain in his eyes, the scene's beauty paling compared to the woman beside him.
“This is so beautiful, what creatures live here? and, if I were to dive into that beautiful ocean…..” she leaned towards him and kissed him softly. Then she reached down and pulled her dress up and over her head standing naked before him. She laughed and moved to the side of the yacht. Turning back she smiled and then dived into the blue water.
Gavin watched, mesmerized, as Dex dove into the glowing sea, the bioluminescent waves shimmering around her. Grinning, he shed his clothes and dove in after her with a playful shout. The warm water sparkled with light as he swam toward Dex, their laughter echoing as they splashed each other.
Catching her by the waist, he pulled Dex close, the glow illuminating their faces. Their lips met in a deep, hungry kiss, the silent underwater world lit with swirling plankton—shimmering waters, and stars above.
The water supported their bodies and Shon floated on her back the force she felt from the kiss reaching deep inside her. Strange creatures brushed passed her diving deep into the darker depths. It felt different, like an ocean but also a feeling of deep sexuality and love lived beneath the waves. She pulled him to her their bodies blending together. “I fell in love with you the moment I saw you.” She whispered to him above the gentle sound of the waves.
Gavin held Shon tight, his breath catching as the glowing water danced around them. “And I’ve been fallin’ ever since,” he murmured back, voice rough with emotion. His hands slid along her back, pressing her closer as the waves cradled them, the shimmering light reflecting the depth in his eyes. “You’re everything, Shon—always will be.”
He lent his hand around her wet neck for a tender, warm, glowing kiss in the warm night sea, just the two of them. In what seemed like the light of the universe on them.
Shon smiled, “Gavin, you hardly know me, I have not always been the person you see now.” She swam to the side of the yacht and pulled herself up taking one of the large fluffy towels and wrapping it round her. She was very aware of the scars along her back and realised this was the first time they had fully been seen by someone else.
Gavin watched her with a quiet curiosity, his gaze softening as she wrapped the towel around herself. "Shon," he said. Gavin tilted his head slightly, his eyes flickering with concern and curiosity as he stepped closer. "Shon, those scars on your back—how’d they happen?" His voice was low and careful, not wanting to pry too hard but unable to ignore what he’d seen. "You don’t have to tell me if it’s too much, but… they look like they’ve got a story."
The lights on the water reflected in his eyes as she saw his concern for her. Sighing she sat down on the long low seat that wrapped around the bow of the yacht like a huge ribbon. "I was a young idealistic medic a few years into my Lieutenant's pips. I met Mark who was in the diplomatic corp, as so often go in romances we fell in love, married and had a little girl Shasta. When Shasta was five I was engaged in setting up a medical centre on Axion. We had a small home outside the village and Mark was helping set up diplomatic treaties. "
She stood and walked to the small platform for diving off the boat.
"Then Axion was claimed by the Klingon Empire. Diplomatic works failed and the Klingons suddenly invaded. Mark was at home with Shasta and I was involved in evacuating the patients in the medical centre. I should have left but I kept staying on and on until the last patient left. By that time Klingon troops were on the ground, feral, vicious, killing everything that moved. Explosions were everywhere but I managed to elude them. "
Shon looked out over the ocean but instead of the beautiful scene she saw the rocky world full of the sounds of murder and brutality. "I thought they had left, had been beamed away hours ago but, they had waited at home for me. I heard their cries as I ran up the street. Our home was on fire red balls of flame swirling in the wind. I.....I saw them in the flames, Shasta was screaming, I could see Mark, holding my little girl tight. I tried to get inside through the flames, last thing I knew was the ceiling giving way.
I woke up on Earth three months later. The war was over, the Klingons retreated, the colonists safe. I was terribly burnt and had extensive reconstruction surgery. I kept, keep these scars on my back, endure the pain...to....remember."
Shon walked back and sat next to him. "so much more happened to me afterwards, I will tell you one day, so these are my scars, my failure."
Ross’s playful demeanor faded as Shon spoke. When she finished and sat beside him, he paused respectfully before responding. "Shon, I can’t imagine what you’ve endured. Those scars aren’t failure, they’re proof of your fierce courage. You fought for those you love when others would’ve fled." His gaze held steady and warm. "I’m so sorry about Mark and Shasta—no one should bear that. Keeping those scars isn’t punishment; it’s honoring them, pain and all."
She turned to him and took his hand feeling its gentle strength. "Maybe one day I will feel that way Gavin and I am sorry to bring this wonderful date down. This place is so beautiful. Her hand caressed his face, "You are the first person I have felt this way about since Mark, I do not know what it is about you but I feel safe and yet excited when I am near you. To have someone on the same intellectual level, the love of medicine and the exploration of science'.....Shon stopped talking and kissed him deeply and passionately, looking up at him she whispered "shall we stop talking now?"
Gavin’s eyes softened as Shon’s words sank in, but when her lips met his, a quiet fire stirred. He kissed her back, deeper, his hand sliding to the nape of her neck with a gentle, firm grip, guiding her closer. His other arm wrapped around her waist, steady and strong, taking control without rush. When they parted, his voice was low, rough with feeling. "Yeah, let’s stop talking." Ross then brushed his thumb along her jaw, pulled her in again, claiming her lips with tender and authority.
Shon’s lips responded as her body felt his strength. A heat began to build within her as her breasts grazed Gavin’s chest and suddenly she wanted him completely, to abandon herself to his lust and love. “Make love to me Gavin” she whispered her lips brushing the curve of his ear.
Gavin Ross the Second glanced across the dimly lit quarters, his usual confidence softening into something deeper as he turned his gaze to Shon. The yacht’s gentle sway beneath them was a distant hum, the night theirs alone. He adjusted the lights to a warm, faint glow, stepping toward her with purpose.
“You’re everything, Shon,” he murmured, his voice low as he took her hands, his touch firm yet gentle. Guiding her toward the bed, he brushed his fingers along her arms, pausing to kiss her forehead, then her lips, lingering with slow intent. The air pulsed with anticipation as he eased her down, his eyes locked on hers, brimming with love and a quiet, burning desire. “Just us tonight, my heart,” he whispered, his hands moving to undo the clasp of her dress, deliberate and tender, ready to surrender himself to her completely.
For a moment she shivered as her dress left her body exposing her breasts her nipples hard showing her excitement. She pulled herself to him feeing his hardness pressing into her, wanting this so much she kissed him. "this feels so right," she whispered into his ear licking his lobe. Her hands slid down to his buttocks feeling the firmness of each globe as she felt herself responding to his touch.
Gavin Ross the Second’s pulse raced as her dress fell, her bare breasts and hardened nipples pressing against him. Her kiss, her whispered “this feels so right,” and her tongue on his earlobe fueled his desire, her hands gripping his firm buttocks. With a hungry groan, he lifted her to the bed, stripping quickly. His gray eyes blazed as he kissed her deeply, then parted her thighs. He thrust into her with fierce passion, growling, “You feel perfect,” their bodies moving as one in urgent, heated rhythm.
Feeling him deep inside her she moaned urging him on, her small animalistic cries in rhythm with his thrusts as her legs wrapped around him pulling him deeper into her as she arched her back. Her eyes began to turn silver as passion took her down. "yes" she whispered.
Gavin the IInd, driven by fierce lust, growled low as he felt her legs tighten around him, Shon's silver-eyed gaze igniting his fervor. "Gods, you're mine," he rasped, his thrusts deepening with relentless rhythm, matching her cries. His hands gripped her hips, pulling her closer, lost in the heat of dominating Shon in sexual desire.
Perspiration ran into the valley between Shon's breasts and mixed with Gavin's every thrust deeper and deeper exploring every part of her. Silver tears of passion slipped from her eyes as she gasped, her hands exploring the cleft between his buttocks. As his thrusts began to subsume her she cried out in passion as the first wave broke over her. She found his mouth with her tongue.
Gavin the IInd’s breath hitched as Shon’s tongue found his, her kiss a desperate, searing plea that matched the wildfire in his veins. Her silver tears glistened in the dim light, and the sight of them—raw, unbridled passion—stoked his hunger further. He groaned into her mouth, their lips locked in a fevered dance as his thrusts grew harder, more insistent, each one drawing a shuddering moan from her. Her legs, wrapped tightly around his waist, urged him deeper, her heels digging into his back as if to claim every inch of him.
“Shon,” he growled, voice rough with need, his gray eyes burning into hers. Her silver gaze, wild and otherworldly, held him captive, pulling him into a vortex of desire where nothing else existed. Her hands, slick with sweat, roamed the taut muscles of his back, fingers digging into the cleft of his buttocks, urging him on with a primal intensity. The heat of their bodies, slick with perspiration, fused them, their rhythm a perfect, frenzied harmony.
He gripped her hips tighter, his fingers bruising her soft flesh as he thrust deeper, each movement a claim, a vow. “You’re everything,” he rasped, his voice thick with reverence and lust. The world narrowed to the slick heat of their union, the slap of skin against skin, and the ragged cadence of their breaths. Her silver eyes fluttered, half-lidded with pleasure, as another wave built within her, her body tightening around him in a way that made his vision blur.
Shon screamed as a burst of fire filled her loins sweat dripping between her breasts. "Slow down" she gasped, "I don't want this to end, I don't want you ever to leave me!" she tightened her body around him.
Gavin's breath caught sharp on her cry, yanking him off the cliff. He froze, buried deep in her heat, heart battering hers as he locked eyes with her silver storm—raw as his own gut-twist. "Shon," he rasped low, forehead knocking hers, sweat gluing them in the dim light. "Not leavin'. You're my damn lifeline."
Eased off her hips, thumbs circling the faint marks like secrets on her skin. Rolled 'em so she rode him, thighs clamping tight, giving her the wheel while her grip milked him—Jesus. All worship now. Lips skimmed her jaw, neck, lapping sweat down to her chest. "Slow now," he murmured at her nipple, sucking lazy, nipping to spark her shiver.
Hands holy on her curves, palming breasts, thumbs lazy on the peaks with his easy hip rolls below. Thrust up deliberate... out slow, in deeper, feeling every clench like fire silk. Their slick hushed to whispers, gasps and groans blending. "Feel us?" he growled, fingers ghosting her clit, stoking gentle. "No rush. You're all mine, forever."
She arched; he pulled her into a messy-deep kiss, tongues slow-twining, swallowing moans as he ground up, holding the crest, tension coiling shared. "When you're set, love," against her lips, gray eyes on silver. "Stars holdin' for us."
For a few moments Shon didn't know where she was as she felt herself at the crest of the biggest wave she had even had. she did not dare move as she knew the wave would descend crashing into the surf. "Don't end it" she breathed looking down at him, down at the man she loved.
Gavin's breath caught hard at those words, her whisper hitting him like a gut punch—raw and real, the kind that hooks you deep and doesn't let go. His hands froze on her hips, thumbs digging in just enough to steady them both while everything hung on that razor's edge. Those gray eyes of his bored into Shon's, all storm and fire, soaking up the pink in her cheeks, the way her silver stare cracked open with it all spilling out. "Ain't endin'," he ground out, voice like scraped gravel, heavy with the weight of it. "Not this. Not us. Shon, this is the real deal....the kind that sticks, no matter what."
Ross moved under her then, barely—a slow grind, deep and dragging, yanking a gasp from both of them as she squeezed around him, that flutter pulling him in like she owned him already. No hurry, none of that frantic bullshit; this was something sacred, his body bending to hers like it was made for it. One hand crept up her back, fingers tangling in her hair to cup Shon's head, tugging her down for a kiss that started soft, all lazy swirls, then turned ravenous, tongues tangling like they were fighting for air. The other hand slipped south, palm flat on her stomach before finding where they locked together, fingers brushing her clit in soft loops, light as a tease, nudging that wave up without shoving it off the cliff.
Her legs shook against his ribs, that tight grip of hers pulsing him in waves that blurred his edges, control slipping like sand. But Gavin hung on, teeth gritted, sweat trickling down his temple as he rolled up lazy—pulling back to the tip, then sinking home with a shove that lit him up inside. "Yeah, like that," he muttered into her mouth, catching her bottom lip between his teeth, then licking it better. "Hold it with me. Let it wind up till it snaps." A rough sound clawed out of his throat when Shonaria clamped down again, unthinking, dragging him down with her. It built in his gut like a fist, every inch of him buzzing, but he dragged it out—the wet slide between them, her breaths hitching to match his ragged ones, her nails carving little bites into his shoulders like brands.
When she started quaking—that first little ripple running through her—he answered with a thrust that glued them tight, skin to skin in the fever. "C'mon," Gav whispered, hand sliding to her breast, thumb flicking the tip in rhythm with those circles down low. "Go over with me, love. I got you—always." Ross moaned.
Shon cried out tightening herself around him holding him inside her, as his thrust touched her womb she screamed, the wave came rolling and rolling, pulling her down as she felt his hot seed flooding into her. She orgasmed again and again tumbling her through the surf. She found his mouth and traced his lips with her tongue
Gav's ragged breath shattered against her tongue, a tremor chasing the quakes still rippling through her. He devoured her in a salt-laced kiss, hips rolling deep to wring every last shiver from her core. Her nails carved fire into his shoulders, grounding him as the room whirled—ocean's growl a distant thrum to the pulse where they locked.
"Fuck, Shon... you shatter me," he growled into her jaw, voice splintered gravel. His grip claimed her breast, possessive and bruising, then slid up to fist her damp hair, baring her throat to his teeth. He felt her bow liquid against him, her thighs clamping vise-tight around his hips, drawing a greedy pulse from the hot spill he'd branded her with. The vise pulled a guttural groan from his chest, raw and unraveling.
They drifted now, blaze fading to smolder. Gavin's lips scorched her pulse, teeth grazing her collarbone before his tongue lapped her taut nipple, balm to the fire he'd stoked. Her velvet sigh ghosted over him, fingertips tracing sweat-sheened ridges of his back in the brine-and-musk haze, sheets a wrecked sea beneath.
Eyes storm-black, he drank her in like she'd birthed the cosmos. "Never," Gav swore, crashing into a kiss that tangled them eternally as velvet night swallowed them whole. "Have I ever.... Felt this.... so consumed by you." He groaned at Shon.
She moved against him gently, slowly dampening down the fire that had ripped through her. Although her breath was ragged she felt as light as air as she floated above him her silver eyes gradually returning to green. Still she could not speak her sweat cleaving to his. She licked the moisture from his neck and looked into his eyes. "you're all mine" she said softly, lazily as her fingers touched his nipples and ran down his navel to the hair below and the restful organ that, not so long ago had been inside her.
He sighed deeply, a rumble of contentment vibrating through his chest as her touch trailed fire's embers into peace. His hand rose to cradle the curve of her cheek, thumb brushing away a stray bead of sweat, his gaze locking with hers—storm-gray softening to dawn's hush. "And you're my everything," he murmured, voice a low, velvet anchor in the quiet. He shifted beneath her, drawing her down into the cradle of his arms, their bodies a warm tangle of spent stars. The world outside faded to whispers; here, only their shared breath, slow and syncing like waves retreating from shore. "Rest now, love. I've got you."
Shon rested, pressed against his body she knew every part of him, felt every breath, heard every neuron firing, his heartbeat slowing, rhythmic, flowing perfusing his whole body and her whole being. This had to last forever she thought as she whispered "I love you" into his chest and slept.
"I love you more..." Ross snuggled his head into the side of Shons' resting self. He was in a state of complete bliss, feeling their warmth together after such intense lovemaking.
