Paul stood on the shuttle Bay looking at the shuttle as the twins in their carry cots we're loaded up onto the shuttle, As Serena looked on and turned to face her husband and spoke, “I do not like this one bit as I feel fine and do not need to see a shrink,” as she was being transferred back to Starbase 51.
Paul looked back at her and wasn't very happy about the news himself it was for the good of her mental health and for the crew it had been approved by the captain herself, he said” look Serena, after you gave birth to the twins you showed signs that you were regressing to when you were captured” as duffel bag was being loaded answer the ship, he continued” until it has been proven that you are fit for duty you are to remain on Starbase 51 and not allowed to fly a fighter until otherwise and if I find out from Paula that you are there will be consequences, do you understand?”
“What do you mean I can’t fly?” replied Serena, looking at Paul confused, “Are you telling me, Paul, that I have been grounded and hence why I am going back to the Starbase?” Serena is still fuming with rage about this turn of events in her life, as flying was in her DNA, and now being forced to sit on the ground and watch others take to the skies hurts her pride. She asked,” Can I still teach pilots to fly?”
“Yes, you can but only with Paula,” replied Paul, trying to calm his wife down, seeing how distraught she was finding out that she was now grounded, he continued” Think of it this way, you get to spend time with the girls and bond with these twins.” he smiled at her, knowing that it might help her.
Serena remarked,” You are only getting rid of me so you can play with another Woman” Growling through her teeth, she continued, “Out of sight, out of mind, is that how the saying goes?” throwing her arms in the air. Paul just looked at her and responded, “Serina, I am not the one who grounded you; that was Doctor Ross, and he did it for your well-being.”
“Paul, you want me out of your hair,” replied Serena looking back at him as she barked “This is not fair Paul and you know it,” as she turned and headed for the shuttle “and don’t bother trying to call me as I will not answer,” as she walked up the ramp and the ramp closed behind her.
Paul watched the door close behind his wife. He began to shake his head in disbelief at what she had just said to him. He had sworn an oath in sickness and in health; he meant it. He was not going to let go of her. But if she wanted to break her oath, then that was her choice, not his, as he turned and headed towards the office.
