Walking to the Turbo Lift. Hewitt was getting revved up. He was just in the med bay, and he still didn’t quite understand what had happened. They had a situation resolved, or did they? He was concerned for his girl, his lady, his soon-to-be wife. They would be preparing for a wedding in the immediate future.

“What exactly did happen in there, Mags?” Hewitt stood next to her in the turbo lift. Hewitt ordered “Deck 04 Officers' Quarters, Baker Street.”

"You heard it, Todd," she said. She followed him inside, and heard the doors seal shut behind them. "Besides Ross being an ass-he's always an ass-I think...we're pregnant. I am. Not you," she said. She was standing. She didn't know what else to do. It was rare that Maggie was panicked. Most things rolled off of her pretty well. This? This wasn't ever anything she'd considered before.

Todd couldn't fathom not being there for Maggie. He furrowed his brows and then grunted, tuning in to Maggie's current logic.

"So you're fine, but your whole face has panic written over it. Oh. Maggs. You little liar!" He shook his head. "Why are you intrinsically so stubborn?!" He was serious but broke into a humorous laugh, thinking of how stubborn she was in situations. It came with the Fighter Breed he had guessed.

"I am NOT," she said, and flopped onto the couch. "This is a major problem," she said. "Why aren't YOU more concerned?" She asked.

Todd paused and looked a bit offended. "I am very concerned, Maggie. I hope you know I am concerned for you and your decision." He breathed in slowly and sat down on the couch next to Maggie. Hewitt bringing Maggies snuggly blanket and brought it to her side of the sofa for comfort while they discussed. "I want what you want. I love you. You are my Lover." Hewitt stated that as a panacea to negate any questions, thus.

Hewitt looked at Maggie's eyes; they were concerned. He felt so bad, he couldn't bring it down some, ever since the Sick Bay, she could not be consoled.

Maggie nodded once. "I love you," she said. She looked at him. "Can I have some water?" She asked him. She was thinking. This might not be SO bad. She had once wanted to be a mother, but had thought it wouldn't happen for her. And now...it could. Maybe she should be more open minded.

"I think I am still just in shock," she said. "I am not mad or upset or anything, just...I wasn't planning this and it threw me off," she said. "BUT...I know we can handle it. Together. Right?" She said. "And it'll be ok if I get a little fat..." she trailed off. THAT was what really bothered her.

Todd took Maggie's hand gently, his thumb tracing slow circles over her skin.

"I love you," he said quietly, eyes steady on hers. "More than anything."

He poured her water and handed it over, then sat close.
"Take your time with this. No rush, no pressure. Decide when you're ready—days, weeks, whatever you need."
He paused, voice soft but sure.

"I've always known who you are, Maggie. A career pilot, focused, fulfilled by flying and serving. It's who you were built for, and I never want to take that from you. Not for me, not for this."

He brushed a strand of hair from her face.

"If you want to keep flying, we'll make it work. If the path changes, we'll figure that out too. But you're still you, body changing or not. No guilt. I'm here, whatever comes."

He kissed her forehead lightly.

"Drink. We've got time. We've got each other."

She took a swig of the water, and then leaned into him.

"I know," she said. "I'll make an appointment with the counselor. But I think...I think I want to have the baby. I can fly up until I am about six months along, as per regulations, and right after I give birth. Ross won't fight me on that," she said. She would, of course, wait until she was cleared but she knew it would be soon. She kept fit and healthy, and planned to carry that on.

"Should we tell your parents? And my mom..." ugh. Her mom might want to come out. "I love you, too, Todd."

Todd blushed when Maggie told him that she loved him. Maggie wasn’t as in touch with her emotions as Todd was, or at least it was normal for an El-Aurian to express themselves in such a way. Not that he did so every day. Just now seemed the human thing to do.

Ironically. El-Aurians said “I love you” in heated arguments with a spouse, as it was believed to reaffirm their emotional connection and sever the anger ether, El-Aurians believe. Todd was not angry, just re-adjusting how and when he used the word according to the human relationships he had read.

“I was going to ask you to the bedroom.” Todd shook his head, looking sad and confused. “But then you mentioned my Parents! He looked like something had smelled.

Maggie laughed. "Well. In that case..."

“Well. Tell me about your parents first. Please.” Hewitt insisted. He reached out, wrapping his arm warmly and comforting Maggie to bring her to his chest to rest her head.

She nodded. "My dad died when I was six. It was just me and my mm for years. She was a teacher," she said. "Mostly young children, pre-school aged. French. A lot like me, really. Daddy was a businessman, sold old aircraft parts to scrappers and then...I don't know what they did with them after that," she said. "Well. I do NOW, of course..." "My uncle Luc was my best parental figure. He's the one who taught me how to fly. He was never married, but he always looked after me."

She smiled. "And that's that. Maman now lives on Earth with her new husband. He's ok, I guess. I don't really know him that well but he treats her right, and doesn't bother me, so that's all I can ask for." She smiled.

"Now..you mentioned something about the bedroom?" She asked. "Anyway..." she leaned forward to kiss him. "I think...we should try to be parents, Todd. I am ok with doing this. IF you are, too."

As soon as Maggie mentioned the bedroom. Todds senses flaired up once more. Already having Maggie lay her head on his chest, his crotch was already growing like a tent.

“I...” He expected to ask more questions regarding Maggies family. But that now, Maggie had interjected the conversation back to the bedroom.

“I… A child. Our child!” Hewitt’s pride in his tone shone through, as an answer in itself. “I’ve been waiting for this, for you.” He knew she was the one for a while now. Hewitt would make sure that she would be with Child in no time.

Gently, but with stamina in his frame, he scooped up Maggie, her shorter frame in his larger framed self. His chest beating faster, his body becoming warm. “I.. I want you so BAD.” A hint of huskiness in his voice growing as he carried his beautiful Wife, his Wife, to their bedroom…

"Take me, then," she said, as she let him pick her up. She was finally resolved. They could do this. They would be ok. SHE would be ok.
