- Marine Training Deck -

"All units, advance to the pre-set disembarked areas for range scenario training," Marctroy ordered. He looked over the "Hounds" and, with PADD in hand, walked out on the deck. Passing the hover tanks and assembling mecha, Marctroy cast his eyes on the outer viewport and upon the temporary home of the beginning task force, Deep Space 10. Marctroy turned to his new patrol leader, 1st Lt. S'arila Donovan and motioned her to his side.

"Lieutenant, have you gathered the members of your unit?"

After her duties on the bridge had been completed, S'arila, at the request of Major Somers, went down to the Marine Training Deck to see what Tommahawk wanted to show them. She did not realise that Major Markov was here too.

oO Wow, the meeting must have been over fast. Oo, she thought, "I am here on behalf of Major Somers"

Marctroy nodded and replied, "Very well. I really hope that my meeting with the Marine Area Commander will be productive and eventful. I know that often indecisiveness can lead to casualties."

"All that information will be provided when we arrive at Deep Space 6 Major, but my guess is, unless we have to do a joint Op with another Marine unit, you will not have to report to anyone other than the skipper," She said.

Anton was standing aside, chatting to some of the enlisted Marines. While he was a tough nut at times, he knew it was the enlisted who, at the end of the day, had to go and do the dirty work. Listening in on the conversation, he shouted over to them before finishing up, but he couldn't quite see Marctroy.

"Major, can I hear you but can't see you. What are your plans for when we dock?" "Right here, Major, I want to meet the Area commander and get an idea of what responsibilities are ours and to what extent they go", Marctroy said. oO Where do the Hounds fit in all this is anyone's guess. Oo

=/\= I will report to you what I find out. Tommohawk out =/\= looking to the right, Major Markov came over and spoke. "Ok, so I want you and your marines doing two things", he paused.

"The first is locking down every important section of this ship. The second is constant training. I want everyone to have done a holodeck exercise set out by me by the end of the week. In fact, I'll add it to the schedule myself." No point beating about the bush.

Marines need the straight talk "I have said many times that the best offence is a solid defence. And I intend to make it my business to make it an ironclad one." Marctroy said to him in a calm and reassuring tone that marked Marctroy's experience on the USS Ark Royal. Marctroy took to mind that this was his moment to earn the respect of the UFP. And after the treatment of him being at SFMCHQ teaching, he would put to rest any qualms about his command ability.

"Lieutenant Donovan, when all of the training schedules have been completed, report back to me with the First Sergeant and have the results prepared for debriefing."

"I believe that this is Major Markov's territory, but I will pass on this report to the skipper", Donovan said, making an entry on her Padd.

Anton nodded in agreement to the first part. "Don't bother her with it. Pass any reports and things to me and I'll see she gets the short of it. The day-to-day running falls on my shoulders while she concentrates on making the decisions."

"Precisely what I was thinking, Major...." the steady Marine replied."Precisely."

S'arila looked at Markov, "Yes, Sir,, she said, sending a copy of what I got to you, Major Markov," she added, indicating to his padd, before putting hers back into her pouch.
